Brighter days are coming...

Alison, Syd & Cortnee
Each day that passes, we wonder what the future holds. We know that soon, the phone will ring and all of the tests, doctor signatures, and formalities will all be done! We know that a date is coming and that in itself makes things a little brighter.

Emotions are hanging on a shirt sleeve. A roller coaster ride like you have never been on before. You are anticipating this giant hill and you just can't seem to make it up. Not yet. It is so close but seems so far away. Waiting. People who know us, know that we are not the most patient people especially when it comes to a hill this big that we have chosen to climb. And...here we are...still waiting!

Cortnee is receiving dialysis 3 days a week for about 4 hours per day. She has lost about 25 pounds but is still as beautiful as ever. She is the one who is keeping me positive when I start with comments like...don't they know you need this done, don't they know we have been waiting for this, how many more tests do you have to do, when will we hear something? It is super frustrating but I know that it is getting closer. We are heading to the top of that first hill, chugging along...

We have had so many wonderful people cheering us and pushing us forward. I don't think that we can begin to know the love and prayers that have been sent on our behalf. Thank you everyone. You may not know it, but each of them are so very appreciated. We love our families for standing behind us and supporting us too. Without our team of cheerleaders, this journey would be really hard. So, thank you again!

Brighter days are coming...keep the prayers and kind words coming. We need all that we can get.

Love, Alison & Cortnee

Dialysis Re-do

Monday, Cortnee went in for dialysis and they ended up redoing her line.
It kept getting plugged so the dialysis was not working.

Today, I asked her how it was flowing instead of how it was going?
Her reply~ REALLY GOOD!

So, keep those prayers coming. She was just starting to heal from having
that placed in her and now she gets to start healing all over again.
Hopefully, this will be the last time they have to redo it.

Cortnee amazes me everyday. With everything that is going on, she still
tries to keep up a strong and courageous attitude. We know that this is
just her life line right now and it will make her stronger for her
upcoming surgery. Way to go girl! Keep up the good work.

We love you Cortnee!

We still have our gofundme page if you would like to donate to Cortnee.
